All returns are subject to a 10 day quarantine period once received into our warehouse. This procedure is in place to ensure the safety of our staff and their families.
The exception to this is DOA PCs which are subject to return by indivisual agreements with customers based on a safety assessment.
The reason for the quarantine is to ensure the covid virus is not on the packing or contents of a return. Unfortunately disenfecting the outer packing is not enough with returns if the item has been handled. We disenfect all goods shipped and have agreements in place with our suppliers to ensure goods shipped into our warehouse are as safe as possible. When goods are received we still spray a disenfectent to ensure safety.
We are reviewing this procedure at the start of every month and we will remove this draconian must necessary procedure as soon as it is safe to do so.
Please also note goods we ship to customers are also sprayed with a disenfectant to ensure no virus can survive on the outer box or the retail packing. We cannot guarantee but we are doing everything possible to ensure nothing we ship can transfer the virus.
This procedure was put in place in April of 2020 and to date has allowed us to stay open and server our customer through all lockdowns to date. We can also confirm that none of our staff have caught covid whilst working in our facility.
In our facility all staff have their temperature checked every morning before starting work. We also provide antigen tests for all of our staff each Monday. If a staff member feels unwell they have access to covid antigen tests at any time. We have also zoned our facility with each staff member given a zone in which they do not have to wear a mask however if they enter another zone or someone enters their zone then a mask must be worn. Our staff wear HSE Approved masks when packing orders as well as antibacterial gloves. Our facility has also been locked down since April 2020 with no access into our building for customers , delivery drivers or anyone else other than staff and management.
We are doing everything possible to ensure the safety of our staff their families and our many thousands of customers.
We are open to suggesstions from our customers with regards to new safety procedures.
We will also in exceptional circumstances allow returns to be examined before the end of the quarantine period however a safety assessment will be carried out and if our staff are not satisified of their safety then management will not force them to examine or open any item returned until the end of the quarantine period. We would ask customers to consider very carefully before asking us to open packages before the end of the quarantine period as this puts everyone at risk as our procesdures are there to also ensure done of our staff are infected during work hours becasue if this were to happen the possibility exists they may pass on the virus on anything they pack and send to other customers. This also risks cross infection of other staff which could lead to us closing if too many staff members are deemed close contacts.
We do not want to have this procedcure in place and it will be removed when it is safe to do so.
